Chevrolet Performance LS3 6.2L 430 HP Crate Engines
Transform your street rod with LS power from Chevrolet Performance! This LS3 6.2L is the 430 hp standard engine in the 5th Generation Chevy Camaro SS and the all-new RWD Chevy SS. It’s a fantastic combination of high technology and uncompromising performance. The crate engine comes complete, from the Chevy Sedan SS specific oil pan to the ignition system—and includes the EFI intake manifold assembly with injectors and throttle body, water pump, balancer, and 58X reluctor wheel. The aluminum block is filled with a sturdy reciprocating assembly that combines with the aluminum L92-type rectangular-port heads to deliver a 10.7:1 compression ratio. A high-lift, hydraulic roller camshaft—with 0.551 in. of lift on the 2.16 in. intake valves and 0.522 in. lift on the 1.59 in. exhaust valves—enhances the LS3’s tremendous airflow and broad torque curve.

Proven power and durability have made the Chevrolet LS3 Crate Engine the number one choice for car enthusiasts and street rod builders. Built on the technology from the C6 Corvette engine family, this high revving engine is built by GM on the all-aluminum LS3 block with a 3.622 in. stroke nodular iron crankshaft, hyper-eutectic aluminum pistons, high lift hydraulic roller camshaft and the high flowing rectangular port L92 design aluminum cylinder heads. Out of the crate this engine makes an impressive 430 hp and 425 lbs.-ft. of torque. Over 40 years ago this was the description of a racing engine!
(The Chevy SS oil pan doesn’t suit all installation applications. Use a vehicle-specific oil pan for original LS-powered vehicle or Chevrolet Performance’s Muscle Car Oil Pan Kit P/N 19212593 for older vehicles.)
